Chapter one
Your child picks the story
Dinosaurs, cricket, space, racing cars and more: 24 stories to choose from. The parent picks one, and every episode happens inside it.
-
Our own story
The Wildwood
Take your child through the Wildwood, where they climb the Lantern Tree to become its lantern lighter, and then follow a fallen star into the Star Orchard to help it home.
-
Dinosaurs
The Bones in Bhimgarh Cliff
Take your child through a race against the sea to dig a dinosaur out of a crumbling cliff before the tide takes it, and then to give it a name.
-
Cricket
The Match That Stopped in 1962
Take your child through a cricket club's old scorebox to finish a match that was abandoned in 1962 and never played out.
-
Space
The Slow Ship Kettli
Take your child through a slow cargo run to the Moon and back on the smallest crew the ship has ever carried, one push a day.
-
Racing cars
Gauraiya on the Long Rally
Take your child through a long-distance rally in the smallest car on the start ramp, one stage and one repair at a time.
And 19 more: badminton, cats, cooking, dancing, dogs, dolls, fairy tales, fashion, football, gymnastics, Lego, monster trucks, movie actors, music, planes, robots, singing, superheroes and tennis.
Chapter two
One episode each evening
Each day one new episode opens. It takes about 10 minutes for the youngest children and up to 20 for the oldest. The next episode opens the following day.
- The tutor speaks in Indian English. Your child answers out loud, or by tapping.
- Reading, writing and maths happen inside the story: sounds and words, spelling and sentences, sums.
- For the youngest, every word is read aloud.
Chapter three
Help when they're stuck, more when it's easy
The Primer begins by finding your child's level, with a few questions and the first three episodes. The tutor speaks, listens and changes its approach when your child is stuck. When the work is easy, it gets harder.
When your child is stuck, the tutor tries a new way.
Chapter four
Practice, for as long as they need
Alongside the story, your child can keep practising: new sums, new spelling words, new words to blend. There is a fresh set each time, until it feels easy.
